The French government demands that Algeria pay reperations for the damage on the military base or else military action will be forced against Algeria. We also demand that no nation be involved in an affair that is strictly French and Algerian.

Algeria, at a poor economy as it is, requests immediate aid from any nation within Minor or Major Europe.
The United Balkan Republic is willing to sell AR-01 Assault Rifles to the Algerian government.

With time coming to a close it was apparent that the French military would have to become involved. At 12am the 2nd Foreign Legion was to make an amphibious landing near the town of Annaba where it was relatively undefended according to French military Satelittles. The Legion would occupy the city and only engage Algerians if they were fired upon first. A total of 6,500 legionarres supported by the French Navy off the coast of Annaba would secure the city. After the city was secured the 7th Armoured and 3rd infantry along with the rest of the 2nd Foriegn Legion would move into Algeria. If more troops were needed they would be flown into Annaba after the town was secured.

OOC: Hate to be a pain but Algeria doesnt have MiG-29s and only a handful of T-84s, they mostly have T-55s. Anyways...
IC: At 12:01am The first wave of French Foreign Legion troops which amassed to a total of 800 men disembarked from their ships and headed towards Annaba. The French Navy would provide close support and all guns were loaded and ready to fire through-out the Naval taskforce. The landing would be directly supported by a squadron of Tiger Attack Helicopters and 10 Mirage G8 Fighters that would gain air superiority as fast as possible in the area around Annaba. If needed a squadron of Mirage F1 Strike Fighters would be on the deck and have contact with the troops on the beach. After the beach was secured 24 Laclerc tanks along with 25 AMX-10RC Wheeled Armoured Reconnaisance and an additional 600 men would land and proceed to secure the Port of Annaba.

The Tunisian government has decided to begin an indirect involvement in the war. Tunisian military advisors (with no identification or country-specific equipment, of course) have started training and equipping militia and partisan groups in Algeria. Supplies and personell are moved into the country only under the cover of darkness and, where possible, with the use of tunnel networks and through difficult terrain.

Inside the city, resistance fighters and men from the 1st National Armored division took up ZSU-23 Shilka anti-aircraft cannons and began firing at the French fighters. Careful to not let any French soldiers through, men positioned themselves on hospitals and civilian buildings that wouldn't be targeted by French helicopters, and armed themselves with RPG-7V rocket launchers to combat the helicopters.
On the coast, the Algerian army was fully mobilized and ready to defend itself against any French units coming into the country and trying to claim their great republic for themselves.
A cry for help went out throughout the Islamic world.

With fighting taking place in the city the second wave was loaded and heading for the beaches. The infantry in the city started calling for the Naval Guns and strike fighters to hit troop concentrations within the city. After the enemy were thinned down the French would slowly advance towards the port and when the port was taken they would set up a defensive perimeter while the naval guns and strike plans began pounding the city.

Losses:
- 1,110 Men in 1st National Guards Infantry Division - 200 Men in 2nd National Guards Infantry Division - 600 Men in 3rd National Guards Infantry Division
With the French closing onto Annaba, the Algerians held on, using their T-84 MBTs as large defensive batteries against the naval units landing on the beaches to the north.
