With Luxemberg under the control of France it was time to look farther and expand French claims in Northern Africa. The French Navy had been mobilized and put to sea. A total of six frigates and two destroyers which would challenge the Algerian Navy of only two frigates. After the Algerian navy was destroyed the navy would support a two division amphibious landing by the Foreign Legion. The entire operation would be supported by the French Airforce and additional naval vessels would be on standby to enlarge the fleet.
OOC: Could we do the naval battle first since Im not landing troops until the frigates are sunk.

The Republic of Tunisia is appalled by France's outright assault on another sovereign nation and calls on other nations to condemn the French invasion. Africa has been subject to European imperialism once before and will not allow itself to come under the control of European governments with no claims to its lands again. Tunisia calls on other nations to condemn France and urges its African and Middle Eastern neighbors to take further steps to avoid being the object of further imperialist attacks.

The Islamic Republic of Iran also heavily opposes the actions of France, committing such aggressive acts of violence for no appropriate reason. This act of imperialistic crusade disgusts Iran, as no doubt other countries. Seeing Tunisia’s mutual feelings, Iran proposes to create an alliance, one to preserve to the sanctity of Africa-Middle East.

France would like to know why this is so appalling for the people of the world? With everyone fighting amongst themselves one must have a strong country and in order to do this they must flex their muscle both militarily and economically. France is doing this by annexing Algeria and allowing them to be free French citizens. We are also establishing ourselves in the international community and showing that we will not be intimmidated by our neighbors while war wages around the world. You also just object to the conflicts that France involves herself in and yet you have no say about the war in Croatia or Cyprus.
OOC: Also this invasion isnt really public knowledge cause Im launching a suprise attack.

The Republic of Tunisia rejects not to French involvement in specific but foreign involvement in Africa in general; we do not involve ourselves in regions that are not our business. Flexing one's military might and putting up a strong facade does not neccessitate invading another sovereign power to the objection of much of the region and above all without cause.
Tunisia acknowledges and is thankful for Iran's support on this matter of gravest importance.
OOC: Sorry, for some reason I had thought that open war had started. My bad.

The French people would like to know what the Tunisian people lose if the French occupy Algeria. In trying times expansion must be made and to insure stability in France both politically and economically we have invaded Algeria.

The Tunisian people, and the African continent as a whole, lose their right to govern their own continent without European powers meddling in their affairs. Africa has not interfered in Europe, yet the French have seen fit to attack an African nation without provaction. Though the Tunisian people themselves may not be under direct attack, the priniciple of European intervention in Africa creates a troubling precedent for further involvement. The Tunisian people will not tolerate further encroachment by Europe on African lands. Perhaps if the French offered a more substantial justification for this invasion than "insuring stability" of FRANCE by invading AFRICA, the Tunisian government would be less disturbed. But in its present form, this action is nothing but an imperialist land-grab and is the first step to a return of European rule of Africa. Tunisia will not sit idly by and watch as Europe again has its way with Africa, and we will meet violence with violence if any further French expansion takes place in Africa.

Well French expansion shall go no farther then Alegeria. If you forget we have the right to train the Foreign Legion in Algeria and we do not need to risk the bases of our elite troops falling into enemy hands. It has already been clear that the Algerians intend on raiding and killing our citizens that live inside these bases. If you want proof then we shall send you satelitte photographs of an Algerian raid on a French military instillation.
150 Miles outside Bechar,Boite Chuad Military Base A plane loaded with fifty French Arab convicts landed in the military compound. Each Arab was escorted out of the aircraft and were all in Algerian military uniform. They were all marched out into the desert at around 9pm local time and each issued an AK-47 with 10 bullets and 20 blanks. They were then ordered to attack the military base from which they came at 12:00 local time. All 50 men attacked the compound as ordered and were killed after a 20 minute firefight. 2 Legionares were wounded, but France had all the more proof it needed to invade the country.
