Field Marshal Abdel-Moneim Riad stared out onto the Great Sand sea in deep thought. After three days of mobilization his army was finally ready for the invasion. He had been training his mind, body, and soul for the Campaign that was about to begin. The Marshal took one last look across the sea and turned around, walking back to his camp. A Major, his aide, walked to him and handed him a report, "Field Marshal, our troops have completed the reconoiter on the border. All goes as planned."
Riad read the report and then nodded. "Raise General Haffa. Tell him to begin the operation." The major nodded and walked off to the comm tent. Five minutes later an explosion was heard, followed by another and another and another. They were the sounds of war. An entire army would begin pouring into Libya. The great Egyptian expansion had begun.
