As viewers tuned in across the Republic at 7:00 BST [Balkan Standard Time], they could see their Prime Minister at the stand, ready to begin. A red light upon his desk was lit, and it switched off, and the green light beside it was lit in its place. He sat calmly in his leather chair, his fingers stringed together and placed upon the desk.
"Good evening. Every 2 years, by custom and by national law, we come here to discuss the status of our great republic. The freedom that gives you the right to run your own enterprise and write to the press without consequence also gives me the right and the responsibility to address the people which have put me into power, and to aid the voice that speaks through me. It is not a right for me to sit before you and speak, but a responsibility to tell you the state of our democracy.
The first issue which I have been asked to address as I visited towns and cities around this country is the Balkan health care system. Following western countries such as Canada and Brazil, free health care and medic-aid proved to be a major system and demonstration of liberty. The government, after much consideration and tax gathering, has denied me any privileges which would result in free medic aid. However, because of their hording, I would like to freely have the permission of the people to ask parliament directly to have free and complete health care for the mentally handicapped, disabled, and elderly.
The second issue is that of the very republic which we have formed. In all these days of promise and days of reckoning, we can be confident. In a whirlwind of change and hope and peril, our faith is sure, our resolve is firm, and our union is strong. The freedom which we our instituting to poor governments everywhere in the Balkans during this new age is a beaming light to all countries. Bosnian citizens are openly rejoicing in the streets of Sarajevo - Croatian people are gladly welcoming soldiers liberating their lands from tyrannical governments.
On this Earth, this world of worlds, we all live on the same ground. Breathe the same air - worship the same idols, and we are all mortal. It is our duty, as citizens of a nation blessed with rights and freedom that other nations are not, to liberate them and add them to our great republic.
I, as commander-in-chief of the Balkanic armed forces, am asking that all military personnel be activated to secure and unite the Balkan peninsula. Our government is united in its determination to take all necessary measures to spread the freedom and liberty that we take for granted. If we, as a nation, are to prosper, we must take steps to liberate the countries lower than our great empire."
